Macquarie Zone Cross Country

Date: 20 May
Time: 8:30 AM-2:50 PM
Location: Sydney International Regatta Centre

Students in the school cross country team will compete against students from other schools to obtain a place in the Macquarie Zone Cross Country Team. Transport: Students will travel to and from the venue via chartered bus, or private vehicle Students will need to arrive at school no later than 8.10am for an 8.30am departure. Students will return to school in time for school buses. If students are catching the bus, the cost will be $12.00. If students are making their own way to the venue, the cost will be $2.00. Dress requirements: Full sport uniform. Food: Canteen facilities will be available at the venue. Equipment: Medication (if required). Sunblock. Mobile Phone - a fully charged mobile phone in case of early/late finishes.

Greater Western Sydney Careers Market

Location: Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre

The event provides a fantastic opportunity for students to seek that all important career and further education advice from a wide variety of exhibitors and industry experts to enable them to make informed choices. Please note: This event is only open to the FIRST 60 students who give consent and make payment as places are limited. Transport: Students will travel to and from the venue via chartered bus. Cost: $15.00 Dress requirements: Full school uniform. Food: Students to bring their own snacks and will be back in time for normal lunch at school. Equipment: No equipment required. Bags to be left at school and will be locked up in a classroom.

School Athletics Carnival

Date: 22 May
Time: 9:00 AM-2:50 PM
Location: Tamplin Field, Richmond

The HHS School Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 22nd May, 2025. Students placing 1st or 2nd overall in each event will progress to the Macquarie Zone Carnival to be held in early June. Transport: Option 1: Students will travel to and from the venue via chartered bus. Buses will depart school after roll call, and students will return to school in time to make their usual journey home. Cost $12 Option 2: Students will make their own way to and from the venue. Cost $5 Dress requirements: Students are encouraged to dress in full sport uniform. They may also dress in their house colours to support their house on the day. Food: Canteen facilities will be available at the venue. Students to bring their own snacks. Equipment: A small backpack. Insect repellent. Medication (if required). Mobile Phone - a fully charged mobile phone in case of early/late finishes. Rain gear / Wet weather gear (if required). Sunblock. Hat.

Sydney Science Trail

Date: 15 August
Time: 6:45 AM-4:45 PM
Location: The Australian Museum, Royal Botanical Gardens Sydney

7C students will be attending the Sydney Science Trail this August—a dynamic and inspiring science education experience held across two world-class venues: the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and the Australian Museum. Transport: Students will be catching public transport (train) to and from the venue. They will be accompanied and supervised by two teachers for the duration of the excursion. Students will be meeting at Windsor Train Station. Parents/Carers are to arrange drop-off to Windsor Train Station at 6.45am, where teachers will be meeting 7C students. Any students who do not arrive on-time will be communicated to the school, and subsequently the responsibility of their parent/carer, and they will be expected to attend a normal school day. Parents/Carers are to arrange pick-up of their child from Windsor Train Station at 4.30pm. Students will be supervised by their teachers until they are picked-up. All students are to be picked-up from Windsor Train Station by 4.40pm. In the event of a late or delayed train, we will permit students to communicate this to their parents/carers via personal mobile phones, and we will also communicate this on the Hawkesbury High School Facebook page. Dress Requirements: Full sport uniform. Please ensure students have a school sports jacket or school hoodie due to the possibility of cooler weather outdoors. Students not in full school uniform, will not be permitted to attend. Food: Students must provide their own food as there will be no opportunities to purchase food. Students are to bring their own water (no glass containers). Equipment: A pen or pencil and a note book. A small backpack. Medication (if required). Opal Card - a valid Personal (not school) Opal Card preloaded with a minimum of $10 credit. Mobile Phone - a fully charged mobile phone in case of early/late finishes. Sunblock.

Years 7 & 10 catch-up Vaccinations

Monday, 27 October 2025 - catch-up visit Year 7 - HPV & dTpa Year 10 - Meningococcal ACWY Catch-up will be offered at this clinic to any Year 7 & 10 students who missed their vaccine at visit 1 and visit 2. Catch-up will also be offered to any students who provided a consent in 2023 or 2024 but missed any vaccine(s)
