Year 10 students will be visiting Art Gallery NSW. This will be introduction excursion for visual arts elective students. They will visit two buildings and the art garden of the Gallery, situated on Gadigal country, before visiting the gallery for Art Express in Year 11. Students will have opportunity to get familiar with Naala Badu building with series of art pavilions and underground bunker built during WWII, which is now home to a variety of art projects. They will be also visiting original Naala Nura building with artworks from international and Australian collections. Students will be catching public transport to and from the venue. They will be accompanied by a staff member. Meet at Windsor train station at 8am, go on the train to Townhall, walk to Pitt Street food court, stop for some food & toilet, continue walking to the galllery across Hyde park. Return the same way on the way back, walk from the gallery to Townhall train station, go ont the train to Windsor. Dismiss students at 3pm. No cost Full school uniform. Canteen facilities will be available at the venue. Students to bring their own snacks. Students are to bring their own water (no glass containers). Entry into this venue is free, please bring a valid personal (not school) Opal Card preloaded with a minimum of $10, A small backpack, any medication (if required), Wet weather gear (if required). In case of cancellation, students will be advised prior and are expected to attend to their regular timetabled lessons in full school uniform.
