HSC Legal Studies Excursion

HSC Legal Studies students attended an excursion to Downing Centre Court, gaining valuable insight into the real-world operation of the justice system. Students observed live court proceedings, including AVOs, aggravated assaults, contract disputes, and traffic offences. Cases highlighted the breadth and complexity of matters dealt with by the courts each day, deepening students’ understanding of how legal and non-legal responses are applied in practice. As one of NSW’s busiest court complexes, the Downing Centre provided an authentic opportunity for students to see the law in action and strengthen their application of key legal concepts beyond the classroom.
