Sydney Science Trail

7C students will be attending the Sydney Science Trail this August—a dynamic and inspiring science education experience held across two world-class venues: the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and the Australian Museum. 

Transport: Students will be catching public transport (train) to and from the venue. They will be accompanied and supervised by two teachers for the duration of the excursion. Students will be meeting at Windsor Train Station. Parents/Carers are to arrange drop-off to Windsor Train Station at 6.45am, where teachers will be meeting 7C students. Any students who do not arrive on-time will be communicated to the school, and subsequently the responsibility of their parent/carer, and they will be expected to attend a normal school day. Parents/Carers are to arrange pick-up of their child from Windsor Train Station at 4.30pm. Students will be supervised by their teachers until they are picked-up. All students are to be picked-up from Windsor Train Station by 4.40pm. In the event of a late or delayed train, we will permit students to communicate this to their parents/carers via personal mobile phones, and we will also communicate this on the Hawkesbury High School Facebook page. 
Dress Requirements: Full sport uniform. Please ensure students have a school sports jacket or school hoodie due to the possibility of cooler weather outdoors. Students not in full school uniform, will not be permitted to attend. 
Food: Students must provide their own food as there will be no opportunities to purchase food. Students are to bring their own water (no glass containers). 
Equipment: A pen or pencil and a note book. A small backpack. Medication (if required). Opal Card - a valid Personal (not school) Opal Card preloaded with a minimum of $10 credit. Mobile Phone - a fully charged mobile phone in case of early/late finishes. Sunblock.
